by the industry. Introducing skill training and encouraging the weak students
will help in providing equal opportunities. Skill development will not only

What are the skill development activities being run by Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation?
There are many skill development activities being run by various skill institutions in Andhra Pradesh. Andhra
Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) is a state-run
institution which focus on upskilling youth of the state to make them industry
ready to get employed. APSSDC introducing skill development initiatives from
early stage of education at school level which will help them to get an understanding
of different career options. This will help them to plan their future
accordingly.
APSSDC established
various training centres across the state in collaboration with different
institutions and conducting a wide variety of programmes for improving skills. These
programmes are mainly classified into Academic and Non-Academic programmes.
Academic Programmes:
- Naipunya Vikasam for Social & Tribal Welfare Schools
- Employability Skill Centers (ESC) for Degree Colleges
- SIEMENS Centers for Polytechnic and Engineering colleges
- Dassault and CM Center for Excellence for Engineering Colleges
- MNC Drives for Engineering & Non – Engineering Students
Non - Academic
Programmes:
- Entrepreneurship Development Programs (EDP)
- Mega Job Mela’s and Skill Connect Drives
- Unemployed Youth Trainings:

Ø Recognition of Priority Learning (RPL) Trainings
Ø Pilot Trainings
To further improve the skill development activities government planning to establish Skill Development University and Skill Development Centers across the state covering all Lok Sabha constituencies.
